Ramirez Guitars, New Ramirez Flamenco 1a:
The '1a' moniker is synonomous with the concert
grade Ramirez guitars used by many of the guitar
world's top players. Here on our Flamenco guitar
the 1a indicates it is made with their finest
Cypress and Master Grade German Spruce. We all
know the best woods make the best guitars and
this one has it in spades. The body is just
a tad deeper than some Flamenco and gives this
one a touch more bass and richness, almost a
cross between the blance and negra voices. It's
extremely powerful and with singing, brilliant
trebles and projection to be reckoned with.
This is a series, worldclass Flamenco Guitar
from the Calle De La Paz No. 8 shop in Madrid,
Spain. They don't come any finer than this.

- Comments: "This is the finest sounding
Flamenco guitar I've yet to play. It has a
powerful bass that shakes your chest and brilliant
trebles that sing out proudly. It is capable
of many timbres as you vary your right hand
position. The quality of the wood is master
grade as are all of the 1a Ramirez guitars
and it is crafted in the main shop in Madrid,
Spain. I play Flamenco and fine this guitar
inspiring, magical and hard to put down. A
local professional Flamenco player, Juan Benbenadis,
fell for this guitar as said he feels it's
a blend of what is great about both the blance
and negra guitars. A touch more fullness but
still strong and projecting. If you are serious
about Flamenco, this is your guitar. "

Ramirez Guitars, Ramirez 1a Traditional Classic:
Most of us have at one time or another
had the chance to play a Ramirez 1a guitar. But
if you've only ever played older ones you may
not realize how wonderful the instruments coming
from Calle De La Paz No. 8 in Madrid Spain truly
are. Amalia Ramirez personally oversees all construction
and approves every professional grade guitar built
in the Madrid shop. We are certain she had a big
smile when she played this particular 1a Cedar
top. This guitar has a bold and beautiful sound
as good as any 1a we've ever seen and it's brand
new. The trebles strings match the vibrance of
the bass, which is quite a feat on this one. The
Brazilian Rosewood is lovely and construction
is flawless. A wonderful Ramirez 1a guitar. This

- Comments: "Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood
that you can hear in the tone. It's rich and
very lively." - Al Petteway
"This first thing I noticed about this
guitar is how the high E string sings out.
It is a joy to hear melody notes so clearly
and with such a full, musical voice. The B
and the G strings are equally present and
balance beautifully against the round, warm
bass notes that are very immediate and resonant.
They are really make some fine guitars these
days at the Calla de la paz No. 8 shop in
Madrid, Spain. It's obvious that tradition
and passion are alive and well there."
