Custom
Stratocaster - This is an
incredible custom Strat made for guitarist Martin Simpson by
2Tek of California. It features their tone producing solid mass
bridge and a graphite Moses neck with standard strat electronics.
The result is a super fast playing guitar that has more tone
and sustain than any other strat. This is as good as it gets
for Strats!This instrument features:
- Audio coming soon
- Custom Strat by 2Tek
- Standard Strat electronics, 3 single coil pickups,
5 way selector, 1 Volume and 2 Tone controls.
- Deep Blue Metallic flake finish, custom gold pinstripe
on front and 'Martin Simpson' in small letters on
back.
- Solid Graphit Moses neck
- 22 fret neck
- No case
- This guitar is in great
condition just normal playing wear on the pick guard
and a few minor scratches you would expect, but
no major scars at all. It could use a new graphite
nut as the string spacing isn't perfect on this
one, but that's a very minor repair that's best
done after you get it so you can have the action
set where you like it. This guitar does not come
with a case, but will be packed very safely. You
can compare this to the high-end custom Strats costing
$1500-2000. - Paul H.
The heart of this guitar is
the solid mass 2Tek bridge. It provides sustain for
days. 'Martin Simpson' painted on back, gold pin strip
on front.
|

Serious Attitude!
Solid Graphit neck provides
a very fast response and looks great

About
the Tele Noiseless Pickups: Sounding like a 60's Tele
without the 60-cycle buzz, that's the Vintage "Noiseless"
Tele pickup. Made with the same technology as the "Noiseless"
Strat, but voiced for that traditional Tele tone. Special
Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire along
with Fenders "Noiseless" technology produce a unique
vintage sound that is quiet. The neck pickup has a nickel-silver
cover for added clarity while the bridge pickup was
developed to produce the traditional "twang" you'd expect
from a Telecaster. Each pickup sports a very stylish
"Noiseless" logo. OEM on the American Deluxe Telecaster.
"My
first guitar was a Tele, but nothing like this. This
one is extremely classy looking and can cut glass with
that Tele tone" - Paul Heumiller

Gibson ES-120T - Just
a great vintage Gibson thin hollow body guitar. More than
just vibe, this one is full of tone. Fingerstylists will
love the easy access for the right hand. This instrument
features: |
- Audio coming soon

- Thinline Hollow Body with F-hole
- Classic Sunburst finish
- Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard
- 1 single coil neck position pickup
- 1 Volume, 1 Tone controls

- This one has a wonderful acoustic
quality to it when played alone or amplified. It appears
to be all original. The neck is very straight and
it plays in tune all the way up. The tuners work very
well and it holds tune like a champ. It has a great
acoustic quality to the tone. The single coil neck
pickup has a warm sweet tone, works great clean or
dirty. Plenty of room under the right hand so, fingerpickers
and flatpickers will like this guitar equally. This
guitar has the checked finish and scratches of an
old guitar, but all are cosmetic. It is in very solid
condition, no cracks at all and structurally perfect.
There is a small piece missing from the pickguard
about the size of a dime below the pickup at the edge.
Comes with a chipboard case. All in all it's in good
shape for being 40 years old! It will be a treasured
part of any collection- Paul H.

Rare Martin!
1906 Martin 00-42 - One of the guitars
that defines the standard for modern acoustic instruments! This one
not only looks good but holds steel strings(extra lights) and has
the tone all modern guitars aspire to. Like any guitar that almost
a century old, it has had several repair but all of them done in expert
fashion, it is very stable. This instrument features:
- Built 1906, Serial #10857
- Extraordinary old Brazilian
rosewood back and sides
- 12 Fret
- Original Ivory Handel Tuners
with inlay!
- Slotted headstock
- 2 piece Cedar Neck
- Ebony fretboard
- Original solid Ivory bridge
and pins!
- Lots of beautiful pearl with green
hues
- Holds XL steel strings and has
for at least 12 years!
- Plays perfect all the way up the
neck
- Non original Martin case
- Awesome vintage Martin tone. Rings
like a bell with a rich loud bass. Very loud and punchy
but extremely warm as well. This is the tone modern makers
are chasing!
- This guitar is also a perfect
investment opportunity if you had put all your money in
pre-war Martin's 30 years ago, you'd be wealthy now! Imagine
30 years from now...
Like any 96 year old guitar it's
had a few repairs, but we are delighted that they were all
done by top notch professionals. Here are the details:
- 4 thin splices in the top behind
the bridge. These were cracks filled with spruce splices.
See picture to right.
- Possibly replaced small section
of top at edge on treble side of lower bout approx. 1.25"
x 6"
- 6 stable hairline cracks in the
back, barely noticeable.
- Oversprayed, only noticeable because
condition is too good to be true for 96 year old.
- 1 tuner slightly bent but fully
functioning
|

1906 Martin 00-42

Awesome Brazilian! The stuff modern woods try to be!

Perfectly done top splices(dark lines running from bridge
to tail are the splices). Tone still rings like a bell

This
guitar was built by Stefan Sobell in mid 2000. It is one of the
guitars he occasionally builds for his own interest; in this case
he had some particularly nicely figured Brazilian rosewood and
wanted to build a Model 0 12 fret cutaway, one of his favourite
guitars. For the neck he used his special dark Brazilian rosewood
(he uses this very sparingly - on only 4 instruments in the 5
years he's had the wood), and he trimmed it with Birdsfoot and
colours. It's a wonderful looking and sounding guitar, and Martin
Simpson used it for standard tuning (usually with dropped D) songs
on his Summer 2000 UK tour. It's in perfect unmarked condition.
Martin
Simpson says
'I
loved this guitar from the moment I first played it. It has such
clarity, and the Brazilian rosewood neck gives it a full solid
sound across the whole range, with a wonderfully clear treble
and an unexpectedly deep bass. I used it in concerts and workshops
throughout my Summer 2000 UK tour, playing it mostly in standard
tuning with dropped D, but also in alternate tunings, and it was
always great. I was planning to use it on my 2001 UK tour, but
Stefan feels he wants to sell it. This guitar has played in wonderfully,
and is just so responsive right across the range. I recommend
it unreservedly.
