2006 Tippin Bravado Baritone: This is the first ever
Tippin Baritone and I can guarantee you there will be more.
What a sound! I had a hunch that Bill Tippin could build a
Baritone with clarity and power and I was right. I commissioned
this one from premium old growth Brazilian with gorgeous figure
and a superb German Spruce top. We chose a 27" scale
for comfort and appointed it beautifully with Bill's handmade
purflings of Maple and Pernambuco and a spalted rosette. This
is a very versatile guitar that can handle be tuned to Bb,
C or up to DADGAD. It's tremendously inspiring. This instrument

Comments: "When I approached
Bill Tippin about designing a Baritone he was very excited.
Throughout the process of building this guitar I could
tell he was enjoying himself. The result is a stunning
guitar that has exceeded our expectations. We chose a
27" scale for great depth but also comfort and familiarity.
Bill's Bravado body shape was a perfect choice to support
low tunings and the body energy we were after. We selected
premium old growth Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce
for all that they provide, warmth, clarity, power and
depth. If you've never thought of a Baritone just imagine
a guitar that can take you to low tunings like Bb and
C and then with a clamp of a Capo take you right back
to standard scale and pitch. Just listen to the variety
of sounds Al's sound clips show above. If you yearn for
something new and exciting, try going low..." - Paul
