1998 Tippin Dreadnought Cuban Mahogany: Cugan Mahogany is
among the rarest of that species, coveted for it's density that gives
it characteristics that lie somewhere between typical Mahogany and
Rosewoods. This particular set came from a submerged log from Bill
Tippin's home state of Florida. According to Bill being submerged
for so long dissipates the resins and leaves the pores very open.
It is theorized that Stradivarius did this with his timber. What all
this means is this is a special guitar with a strong, beautiful voice.
Oh and by the way the wood is amazingly figured to boot.

- Comments: “I'm a big fan of Cuban Mahogany. It
gives you the wonderful round bass reminiscent of the
great old Gibsons but with more clarity. The bass on this
one is huge and very round and warm. Add to that Bill's
famously fat trebles and you get a big, big sound that
is full of character. Strumming a G chord on this one
is a joyous experience! ” – Paul H.
