This great sounding 1967 Jose Rubio classical has all the wonderful character of a well played, welled loved instrument. The mid-range is very prominent, and the overall tone is alive and powerful, with very fast attack. David ‘Jose’ Rubio spent years immersed in the Spanish Tradition and made guitars used by Julian Bream and other prominent players. As an older guitar it has a good amount of finish wear and expert repairs completed somewhere in its past. It is currently stable and ready for years more of music to flow through it. This Brazilian/Spruce Rubio guitar was made in New York and is dated and signed by the maker. A wonderful vintage Rubio with plenty more to say.
This guitar is part of a large collection we acquired and it immediately stands out with it's rich, Spanish sound. It's a very responsive guitar that players will love for it's ease of expression.
