This particular example comes from 2016, is in great shape with Indian Rosewood back and sides, and boasts an impressive double top of layered Engelmann-Nomex-Red Cedar for projection and sustain. A short, 640mm scale and 1 7/8” nut make for easy playability, and the addition of twin soundports flanking the heel help the player keep in touch with their tone while performing. You’ll find the neck has more of a C-shaped profile than the traditional D of a Concert Classical, and it’s especially easy on the left hand. The overall weight is a slim 3lbs 8oz, and the radiuses fretboard helps make this Performance Crossover feel like a steel string guitar, but with the sensitivity and color of a nylon string instrument.
