This was the “natural” version of the popular Gibson J-45. In 1948 they switched from the Gibson script logo to the post-war gold block logo featured on this guitar. In 1950, they started using the upper belly bridge, so this is most likely either a 1948 or 1949 but could be an early 1950 as well. Whatever the year this is a GREAT ONE. Killer tone, that is bold and clear and the setup is excellent. This is one of the best playing Gibsons from this era you’ll find.
A true classic in every way and this is a great one. Really has that big growl and the notes fire very quickly. This one comes to us from a good customer with great taste and he chose this one on tone and he was right, it's the real deal.
