Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to this lion in a guitar’s clothing. The 2007 Goodall MSC (Maple Standard Cutaway) Dreadnought we’ve got here is a real eye- (and ear-) catcher of a strummer, with tight Curly Maple back and sides and topped with Sitka Spruce–a Dreadnought which is bright and responsive with a bottom-end that is warm and tender. The Curly Maple provides its hallmark crispness and drive, but thanks to the Dreadnought body that brightness is tempered across the registers, such that the tone is even and balanced (two words not often used to describe anything approaching a Dreadnought). A real flatpicker’s delight, this Goodall MSC responds beautifully to aggressive attack for Bluegrass, but is also clean and expressive for a Sunday afternoon waltz. Lastly, the MSC is both a powerhouse unplugged and amplified, thanks to the installation of a L.R. Baggs I-Beam bridge plate pickup. This guitar comes with an Ameritage hardshell case.
