To tell the truth, we’re pretty impressed. This 2000 CM Custom from Huss & Dalton has one of the loudest voices you’ll find from a guitar of this size. We can thank the figured Koa back and sides for that, and the Cedar top for giving the guitar an articulate and warm depth–and with everything bound in Curly Maple, this guitar’s a sight to see. Fingerstylists will fall in love with just how responsive this guitar is, and how well it intonates in lowered tunings. For recording, there aren’t many guitars at this price point that can half shine as well. The slim profile of the neck is easy on the hands, and the smaller dimensions of the body allow for comfortable playing, but thanks to Huss & Dalton’s deeper sides, there’s no loss of projection or sustain. This guitar comes equipped with a K&K Passive Mini, so it’s ready to roll acoustic or amplified, and comes with a debonaire TKL tweed hardshell case so you show up at the gig in style.
