From James Goodall comes a very well rounded Concert Jumbo. But this one is upgraded with Honduran Rosewood long heralded for it’s rich tone. The Martin Company has offered multiple limited edition in Honduran Rosewood over the years. The top is versatile Sitka Spruce, which offers beauty, power and the Goodall overtones. Fitted with a cutaway and setup perfectly you’ll truly enjoy playing this guitar.

This is a lovely Goodall Grand Concert with very pretty Indian Rosewood, Goodall’s trademark Koa bindings, and a really beautiful AAA Spruce top. This guitar can do a lot of things well… fingerstyle, strumming, and single lines. This is a great all-round guitar at a very nice price.

Players looking for all the classic OM qualities — projection, clarity, balance, punchy mids — will find what they’re looking for in this Traditional Series Goodall. To our liking there’s also a warmth and smoothness in the middle that lets this one take an assertive strum better than some. This Indian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce pairing resulted in a well rounded and versatile guitar that sounds more mature than its years.

Here’s another lovely Grand Concert from James Goodall’s shop. Its Brazilian rosewood back and sides shimmer with beautiful red highlights. It’s fine-grained Italian spruce top is framed by highly figured curly maple binding. The balance here is near perfect, with clear and present bases, warm mids, and the ringing highs Goodall’s are known for. We imagine fingerpickers and strummers particularly digging this one, but single line players will appreciate it as well.

The first thing that hits you about this James Goodall Grand Concert is that it’s drop-dead gorgeous. The triple-A koa practically pulsates, the reds hues in the mahogany neck complement the koa perfectly, and the curly maple binding adds just the right contrast. While this one has all the crispness and sparkle that the Goodall brand suggests, there’s a pleasant warmth in the midrange as well. This is versatile instrument that will reward its owner for years to come.

For starters there is gorgeous Honduran Rosewood for the back and sides. Honduran has been featured on many limited edition Martins over the years and is revered for its Brazilian-like tone. The top is premium Italian Spruce which is revered for its power, clarity and strength. The end result is a great sounding CJ that stands out from the pack. This is a special Goodall.

The Goodall Traditional Series guitars use construction techniques and styling similar to the great prewar guitars. This TMhD model has a very nice Adirondack Spruce top over Mahogany for a classic D-18 sound. Lots of low end rumble and high end chime for a satisfyiing boom/chuck. Single notes have quick attack and smooth decay making this a great all-arounder. It’s in mint condition and setup perfectly.
