1979 Martin EM-18 Maple/Walnut/
Martin made just 1375 EM-18 guitars from 1979-1982. While they did not make a big stir at the time, we find them to be a very cool guitar with great tone and a variety of settings (series & parallel) that give you the ability to get a funky single coil sort of tone as well as full-out screaming humbucker voicings. The body is laminated Maple & Walnut body have a race car sensibility and the Stauffer style headstock nods to the company’s history. This would be a fun addition to any collection and this one is in excellent condition.

The Paul Simon Limited Edition from Martin Guitars is full of good Karma, after all it benefit The Children’s Health Fund which Paul Simon co-founded. It is also one of the very few things Paul ever endorsed. He worked closely with Martin to determine the specs and decided on a OM body with forward bracing, adorned with 42 Style appointments, Paul Simon inlaid on the last fret, label signed by Paul Simon, Tortoise bindings on the body and neck and a customized fingerboard that starts at a 1 11/16″ nut but is wider than most up high to facilitate fingerstyle. The tone from the Rosewood and Sitka Spruce body is clear and open with shimmering overtones. This Martin Paul Simon guitar is perfect for fingerstyle play. Only 223 of these were made, so it’s a very limited edition as well.

We just love the 45 style trim that adorns this beautiful Martin OM. The 45 style incorporates abalone purfling on the top, back, and sides and it just sparkles. The 1933 Marquis modeled after, you guessed it, the 1993 OM by Martin. Scalloped Adirondack braces, linen side strips and the extensive abalone trim give this guitar the vintage tone and the elegance of yesteryear. The Adirondack top on this particular guitar is superb with very even grain spacing and lots of silking. The voice is wide awake and proud. The bass is huge for an OM and the treble full and sparkling. This one is equal adept at strumming or fingerstyle and is in mint condition. Player or collector, you’ll love this beautiful Martin.

In 1923 Martin made the first 0-21 braced for steel strings, 4 years later they made this incredible little beast of a guitar. Anyone who’s played a prewar Martin small body guitar knows why player’s talk about them with such regard. The sound leaps off of the aged soundboard and the entire guitar seems to want to vibrate off your lap. This guitar has all the mojo and then some. The tone is extraordinary with projection that will blow your hair back and it’s been completely setup by master luthier Bill Tippin so it needs nothing but someone to play it. There are no cracks anywhere on this guitar and it is nearly completely original. Just listen to the audio on this one…
