Collings makes a wonderful OM guitar, as evidenced by the many big names that play their instruments. Just a few minutes on this Collings OM-2H and you can understand the passion. These guitars have an authentic vintage voice, great headroom and the build quality is superb. This 1999 Collings OM-2H has been well loved and is in excellent condition but more open and lovely sounding than even a new one. Nothing like music pumped through a guitar to enliven the voice. This one is great.

Simply stated, the Collings D1A is a GREAT dreadnought! It’s got everything one looks for when seeking a superior mahogany dread – bold tone, impressive volume, the ability to cut through the densest mix. Here we have a mint condition 2008 Collings SJ in all Koa. What a beauty! Bound from the haircut headstock down to the tailpin in Ivoroid for a classic style. The unadorned ebony fingerboard let’s the amazingly figured Koa draw your attention on this big sounding SJ. The voice is wide open and very full and strong with that wonderful Koa clarity and sparkle. Gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood buttons complete this stunner from Collings Guitars.

This is a great early custom-order Collings OM3 with a “haircut” headstock that you just don’t see on these models. In addition it was ordered without Abalone to give it a more natural aesthetic. Built in 1994 and signed by Bill Collings, this period is among our favorites for Collings guitars. The Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce make for a robust, even tone with great bass clarity. With vintage Martin type tone coupled with modern playability and smooth action, you can’t go wrong.

Here’s a great little player’s Collings 000-2HSB guitar from 2002. Its Indian/Spruce body has been played a bunch by one of our local clients who can really play. So many good notes have broken it in for you and it’s mature and alive now. It’s got the slothead and sunburst everybody loves but a few scratches and dings have it priced to go. If you value tone over condition, don’t miss this chance at a Collings 000 at a player price.

The beauty was a NAMM show guitar in 1995 for Bill Collings and company. This is a Collings CJ41 Sunburst with a tight grained top, full Ivoroid Bindings top to bottom and tone to spare. The early Collings are some of our favorites and this one has a special voice, very full and alive. You get a lot of power out of this Slope D Collings CJ. Whether you play light or hard it fills the room with joyous noise. The Abalone trim really shine atop the perfect Collings sunburst and makes this one as pleasing to behold as it is to play.

What’s better than a brand new Collings OM2H? Why an 11 year old one that’s been played in so it’s sounds amazing! That’s what we have here a superb Collings OM2H from 1999 that was played professionally and has had a lot of great music pass through it already.
