The 12 fret neck allows the bridge to be positioned further down into the heart of the top where it can produce maximum energy in the top. You also getting a somewhat sweeter quality when you play gently. But this is a big guitar and it is happy to be hit hard and play loud as well. If you are after that ‘complete’ Brazilian/Adirondack voice, enjoy a wider neck and want all the tone, the Collings DS is for you and this is a great one.

This is one of the prettiest Collings we’ve ever seen. It has a gloss Black face with Pearloid pickguard and headplate and the back of the body and neck are speckled Black with white streaks for a very cool Deco look. This one has a very ’50s feel to it.
