Here we have a Michael Collins CL-4 Classical in Honduran Rosewood and Cedar. This is without question a concert level classical guitar with a powerful and articulate voice – and at an incredible price point. The trebles on this Collins are strong and ring like bells on a cold foggy morning, while the basses are dark and mysterious. It is hard to think of a more evenly voiced classical, which is great praise for Michael’s voicing ability, it is no easy task. Built in the fabled Felipe V workshop, this is a limited edition numbered series, not to be confused with the ongoing Domingo Esteso Reissue that is not numbered. This beautiful Cypress and German Flamenco guitar is no. 11 of the reedition guitars and features the optional figured Maple Golpeadors. The body is very lightweight and the response is that of a fine vintage Flamenco, even though this is made in 2004. It is clear this is the finest Conde Hermanos Flamenco being made today, with current New these sell for more than $25,000 U.S.

Since 1980 Conde Hermanos has been making this wonderful reissue of a 1953 Domingo Esteso using the original workboards (forms), aged woods and templates. This is a truly traditional Flamenco guitar with the tone players long for. This one, with its wonderful orange shellac, is in excellent condition and fully played in and alive.
