Add to Compare1973 Fender Tele Custom Ash, Mocha Finish Rare Condition!
The pickups in the 70’s Fender Telecaster Customs are legendary for their great tone. Utilizing CuNiFe threaded magnets, this guitar gets a great clean and clear sound in the neck position and has a strong and not brittle sounding bridge. If you love Teles but think they’re too bright, this may be the guitar for you, it is not dark sounding, but it lacks the harsh ice-picky tones some Teles produce.
This 1973 Tele Custom, in Mocha finish, is in rare condition with very little wear for it’s age. This beauty has a significantly thinner neck than its ancestors from the 1950’s. In all, it’s a fun vintage guitar that offers a unique take on the classic Fender sound!

Add to Compare2003 Fender Telecaster 62 Tele Custom Alder
Description from Fender’s website: The double-bound alder body and multi-ply pickguard that dressed up the ’62 Telecaster guitar distinguished it from its Butterscotch predecessor. And rosewood, originally introduced for cosmetic reasons because maple was prone to showing wear, quickly grew in popularity with the warmth it added to the classic Telecaster tone. In the spirit of the original, the American Vintage ‘62 Telecaster Custom guitar has a C-shaped maple neck with a 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard. It also features a pair of ’62 Custom Tele single-coil pickups, a vintage Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, and the original Tele circuit with three-position switch. Our thoughts: This Ocean Turquoise ’62 Tele is a gorgeous guitar in dead mint condition, don’t miss it!
Add to Compare1957 Fender Stratocaster
The guitar against which all other electrics are measured, the Fender Stratocaster reigns king. This Strat came into the world in 1957 looking pretty much exactly as it looks now, with the addition of a few decades’ play wear–we’re talking the real, all-original deal, three way switch and all. It plays, and plays, and plays, with Fender’s hallmark neck profile, and the pickups are still blazing right along in pristine glory! When’s the next time you’re going to see a 50’s Strat in such amazing shape?

Add to Compare1998 Fibenare 10th Anniversary Basic Jazz Mahogany/5A Maple Burl
From a Hungary-based company that’s been wracking up heaps of accolades in recent years, this Fibenare Basic Jazz is #3 of 10 that the Fibenare company built for their 10th anniversary–and they spared no expense. The semi-hollow Mahogany body is adorned with a gorgeous Maple Burl veneer on top, and features their proprietary Fibenare ALV-63 humbuckers. These humbuckers are wickedly responsive and light up under a fingerstyle approach to blues, rock, and even jazz.
The C profile neck and slinky low setup make for effortless playability, and the warm, fat low-end response from the humbuckers balances nicely with chiming treble strings. Wrapped up in a unique case that also features some pretty burlwood in the handle, this Fibenare Basic Jazz 10th Anniversary is an excellent addition to your electric repertoire.
Add to Compare2017 Fine Resophonics Resonator, All-Koa
Mike Lewis knew how to build ‘em! This Fine Resophonics beauty from 2017 is a powerhouse single cone with all-Koa body, 25” scale, and a built-in Schertler pickup for dynamite amplification. We loved this one for its sweet spot setup that caters to the player who plays with both fingers and a slide. The tone is quick and lively, with an even response across the registers, which translates faithfully when amplified. Weighing in at a relatively trim six pounds, this (mighty) Fine Resophonics single cone is an easy player.

Steve Fischer builds steel strings to respond as well as classicals—and his petite Aria model is a fingerstylist’s favorite. This beauty from 2018 is approximately a 00 proportionately, with an intimate and engrossing voice that scales well when you lean in with a more aggressive attack. The fan-braced Alaskan Yellow Cedar top is responsive to a T, and its warmth pairs up nicely with the dry projection of its Honduran Mahogany back and sides. 25 1/4” scale threads the needle between crisp and round tones, and keeps playability effortless. Steve upgraded this one with a sultry sunburst on top and Spalted Maple rosette, Quilted Sapele bindings, slotted headstock, and Waverly tuners. Additionally, this Fischer Aria is outfitted with an L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup system, which faithfully translates the warmth and precision right into amplified territory. Weighs in under four pounds! Petite, yet powerful.

A beautiful thing. Here Steve Fischer pairs Cocobolo and Lutz Spruce with a fingerstyle fretboard and L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup in his Concerto body: the result is elegance and power. The setup is velvet smooth, and the way notes roll out of the soundhole you’d think there was a matching velvet carpet on the inside. Individual notes in the bass and mid ranges have an extra dose of definition, keeping complex chords articulate, while the trebles cut through with a cool and crisp response.
A fingerstyle guitar needs to have a voice dialed in for clarity and dynamic response. A guitar for fingers needs to have a specific brand of sustain, where notes retain definition as they decay, where overtones accompany, rather than overcharge. This 2013 Fischer Concerto threads the needle for each of these requirements. It’s with guitars like these that we’re reminded of just how much beauty a single luthier’s touch can bring to raw Spruce and Rosewood. This is not one you’ll want to miss.Other keywords: lutherie, finger style, fingerpick, fingerpicking, dadgad, altered tuning, open tuning, gotoh, venetian cutaway
